Graduation Day - June 25, 2008
Ryan is officially a police officer for the Huntington Beach Police Department. We are so proud of him for this outstanding accomplishment. The ceremony was patriotic, personal, and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Each graduate was “pinned” by a family member and was asked to share his or her most memorable experience in the academy. Ryan said his most memorable (not necessarily “best” memory) was the day he was tasered . . . . twice! The RTO said it was because Alison paid him to do it twice – not true – but funny. The class video was shown at the end of the program and there was Ryan being tasered twice, not a pretty picture – and not funny . . . for him at least.
This is just the first paragraph of The Law Enforcement Code of Ethics-“As a law enforcement officer, my fundamental duty is to serve mankind; to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression or intimidation, and the peaceful against violence or disorder; and to respect the Constitutional rights of all men to liberty, equality and justice.” Very impressive.
We now have a much greater respect for our police officers. Way to go Ryan. We love you.

Nice post Mom. It is actually an RTO officer - Recruit Training Officer, not RCO... Thanks for coming! It was a great day!
Hi Lynn! Susan sent me the links to everyone's blogs. I had no idea you all had one :) Love them...so fun to look at! See you this weekend.
