“The case of the missing sock”

Many theories exist as to why socks disappear, but I have never heard of the theory that some socks disappear because they are traveling the world. That is apparently what happened with Evan’s brown sock. I have been looking for this sock for at least three years, maybe more. Several times, I’ve almost put the poor lonely sock out of its misery by throwing it away, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it because it had only been worn once or twice. It was still in such good shape! So . . . . I put it in a basket in the laundry room thinking at some time its mate would show up inside of a pant leg, under the bed, or in a suitcase. None of that happened. Now I know why - It had taken a trip to Greenwood Village, Colorado and ended up in Heath’s sock drawer. As Stacey and I were cleaning out dressers and closets this past weekend I came across the "vacationing" sock. I noticed the distinctive pattern immediately, and I yelled out, “I found the sock, this is Evan’s sock!” Stacey gave me a very puzzled look and said “okay, that’s great, Mom.” Wow, what a great sense of satisfaction as I matched those socks up today and put them in Evan’s drawer! Just remember next time you lose your sock, there is always hope it will return - after it tours the world (or at least a small part of it).

Okay, heath just told me, everytime he looked at it, he had no idea where it came from and then thought, Oh, it's probably just Stacey's sock cause there's no way it could fit his foot. So glad you found it. together again.
