Go Pato!

Eric and I went to a club in Park City on Saturday night to see Pato Banton, he is a reggae artist that Eric and I really like. It was a smaller venue, so we got right up front and center. The stage went about as high as my thigh, to give you an idea of the setting (I was leaning up against the stage the whole night). We were loving the concert and the music was great. At one point he held the mic right up to me and I sang some words. And another time he gave our whole group that was there hi-fives. Pato started to sing one of his more popular songs and Eric knew every single one of the words. I could tell Pato was watching Eric and the next thing we know, Pato says, "you in the brown shirt, come up here." He asked Eric if he was nervous and he said yeah, kind of. And then they went at it. At one point Eric sang by himself, and then they went back and forth with each other, each singing a part. Pato said, he's stealing the show, everyone was going crazy in the audience, they loved Eric. It was awesome! He got a free T Shirt and everyone in the club was talking to him and telling him how awesome he was. We had so much fun. We felt like we had a personal concert, he was so friendly to us. Later in the concert he asked us (he looked directly at Eric and me) what songs we wanted him to sing. It was one of the most awesome nights ever! After the concert was over, we got him to sign our tickets and we took some pictures with him. Eric loved it. On one of Pato's live albums, he invites a guy up to sing with him. Eric said he has fantasized about something like this happening since he was 16. So one of his dreams has come true now :)
